Privacy Policy

Scope and contact
Kaos Technology LLC operates the KAOS community service at kaos.icu. For privacy questions, access, correction or deletion requests, contact [email protected]. This policy covers the community application, not a trading account or prediction-market service.
Information we handle
We receive account identifiers, name and email from you or the sign-in service. We also handle information you provide through profiles, including phone numbers, photos, playing preferences and communication choices; event reservations and participation records; ranking lists and comparisons; messages; invitations; and submitted professional references. Payment and refund information is handled when those features are enabled. Hosting and security services process technical request information, including network information, timestamps and session cookies, to operate and protect the service.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, operate community and event features, calculate rankings, communicate about participation, administer organizer decisions, respond to requests and prevent abuse. Optional invitations, communications and sharing use the choices available in the service.
What other people can see
Player names, roster status, displayed photos and playing preferences, community rankings and organizer-approved public references can be visible without signing in. Ranking opinions default to public and may identify the voter; use the ranking visibility control to change this. Private opinions still contribute to aggregate rankings. Your phone number and email are not included in the public roster. Authorized organizers can access contact and participation records for administration. Room messages are available to users authorized for that room. Invitation details are shown to their sender and recipient, with authorized operational access as needed. Public information may be indexed or copied elsewhere; changing a setting cannot retrieve external copies.
Public reference research and AI
We use Firecrawl to discover and extract public web references and OpenAI to help assess candidate matches. This workflow supplies the player name, submitted public link and relevant public page material, not private chats, phone numbers or email addresses. Additional references require organizer review before public display. AI and organizer review can be mistaken and are not a guarantee of identity, professional membership or skill. Contact [email protected] to dispute a match.
Optional wearable information
If you connect an available wearable service, we process connection credentials and the activity or health-related measurements authorized through that connection. Sharing controls determine which supported measurements are displayed publicly. Review those choices before connecting or sharing. Do not post sensitive medical records in profiles or chats.
Service providers and other disclosures
Hosting, authentication, communications, research and, when enabled, payment and wearable providers process information to deliver their functions. Authorized event organizers use participation information for administration. Third-party sites have their own privacy notices. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to address fraud, safety, security or legal claims, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable law. Providers may process information in countries other than your own, where protections can differ.
Choices, requests and retention
Use profile, ranking-visibility, invitation and sharing controls for available choices. You may also email [email protected] to request access, correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern. Depending on applicable law, additional rights may include portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent or an appeal. We may need to verify your identity. Turning off an optional feature does not automatically delete prior records or cancel event participation. We retain information for operating the service and for applicable legal, security and dispute needs; retention depends on the record and purpose. Deletion requests are reviewed, and some information may need to remain for those purposes or in backups. We do not promise immediate deletion from every system.
Security and young participants
We use access controls and safeguards, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. A parent or guardian with a concern about a young participant's information should contact [email protected]. Do not submit another person's information without appropriate authority.
Future products and changes
Community participation does not enroll you in trading or authorize a new prediction-market use of your identity or content. Materially different uses require an appropriate new notice and any legally required permissions. We will date policy updates and provide prominent notice of material changes. An update does not override choices or permissions required by law.
